Sports Meh LLC operates Sportsmeh at sportsmeh.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse, create an account, or receive our emails. Contact support@sportsmeh.com with questions or privacy requests.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: name, email address, verification status, and signup and sign-in records. Sign-in uses email links rather than a password you create.
• Preferences: followed sports, leagues, teams and players; timezone; appearance; onboarding choices; newsletter frequency; and subscription consent.
• Activity: logins, follows, unfollows, and signed-in visits to the feed, profiles, and glossary, including topic identifiers and timestamps.
• Technical and email data: session identifiers, IP addresses, browser information, request and security logs, and email delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe records.
• Correspondence: contact information and the contents of messages you send us.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and secure accounts, remember preferences, personalize your feed, send requested sign-in links and optional newsletters, respond to support requests, measure use of the service, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, consent for optional communications where required, and legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

3. Cookies and browser storage

Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Sessions are configured to expire after 30 days and may renew as you use the service. Browser storage remembers preview preferences, such as appearance. Clearing cookies or local storage may sign you out or reset preferences.

The current service does not use advertising trackers or third-party advertising cookies. Site metrics use our own account activity records. Email-open and link-click tracking are disabled in our email delivery configuration.

4. Providers and disclosures

We use hosting, database, and security providers to operate and protect the site, and email delivery providers to send sign-in links and optional newsletters. These providers process information needed for their services, including account records, recipient addresses, email content, delivery information, and technical logs.

AI-assisted content processing providers help select and summarize sports facts. Our sports summarization requests contain sports data, not your account details, email address, or individual follow list. We do not send sports data suppliers your personal follow list to request coverage.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or transfer the business in a merger or acquisition subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Email choices

Newsletters require a separate subscription choice. Turn them off in Settings or use a newsletter’s unsubscribe link. This does not prevent sign-in emails you request or necessary account and security messages. Availability and frequency depend on coverage and your settings.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account information and preferences while your account is active. Retention of activity, support, security, and delivery records depends on their purpose, resolving issues, preventing abuse, and legal requirements. We do not apply one fixed retention period to every record.

Delete your account in Settings. This removes the account, sessions, preferences, follows, linked activity, and associated delivery records from the application database. Provider systems, backups, or separate support and security logs may retain records for their applicable retention periods or where legally required. Account deletion does not itself clear your browser’s storage.

7. Your rights

Review and update preferences in Settings. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a request decision. Email support@sportsmeh.com for requests or appeals. We may verify identity, and legal exceptions may apply. We respond within applicable legal deadlines and do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising these rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Security and international processing

We use encrypted connections, restricted access, and protected sign-in links to safeguard information. No online system guarantees absolute security. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries with different privacy laws. Where required, international transfers must be supported by applicable safeguards.

9. Children

Sportsmeh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 provided information so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Higher minimum ages or parental authorization requirements under local law also apply.

10. External links and changes

External sites have their own privacy practices. We may update this policy, display a revised effective date, and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Our Terms of Use explain the rules for using Sportsmeh.
